Terms and Conditions
Last updated: 9 June 2026
1. Acceptance of terms
By accessing or using Proximath™ at proximath.com, you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions. If you do not agree, please do not use the service. These terms apply to all visitors and registered users.
2. How the game works
Proximath™ is a free daily word game. One new five-letter word is made available each day, shared by all players. You have seven guesses to identify the word. Each guess must be a valid five-letter entry, and after each guess the tiles reveal how close each of your letters is to the correct answer.
For registered users, game results, scores, and streaks are saved to your account and accessible across devices. Guest players can play without an account; in that case game state is stored only in your browser and is not persisted to our servers.
3. User accounts and data
You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials. You must not share your account with others or use another person's account.
We store your game results, guess history, streaks, and score statistics in order to provide the service. We do not sell your personal data to third parties. For full details of how we collect, store, and use your data, please refer to our Privacy Policy.
You may request deletion of your account and all associated data at any time by emailing proximath26@gmail.com.
4. Monthly competition
Proximath™ runs a free-to-enter monthly leaderboard competition open to all registered users.
- The competition resets on the 1st of each calendar month.
- Points are awarded for each daily puzzle based on the number of guesses used: 1 guess = 7 points, 2 guesses = 6 points, 3 guesses = 5 points, 4 guesses = 4 points, 5 guesses = 3 points, 6 guesses = 2 points, 7 guesses or a failed attempt = 0 points.
- The player with the highest total points at the end of the month wins a £10 Amazon gift card.
- The prize will be delivered digitally to the winner's registered email address within 7 days of the month end.
- No cash alternative is available.
- Proximath™ reserves the right to disqualify any player found to be cheating, exploiting the game, or otherwise gaining an unfair advantage. Disqualified players forfeit any prize.
- In the event of a tie, the prize will be split equally between tied players as Amazon gift cards of equal value.
Proximath™ reserves the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue the monthly competition at any time with reasonable notice.
5. Intellectual property
Proximath™ is a trademark with a pending application filed with the UK Intellectual Property Office (application number UK00004399615). All game content, design, source code, and branding are the intellectual property of Proximath™.
Unauthorised copying, reproduction, distribution, or modification of any part of Proximath™ is strictly prohibited without prior written permission.
6. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Proximath™ and its operators shall not be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, or consequential loss or damage arising from your use of, or inability to use, the service.
7. Changes to these terms
We reserve the right to update these Terms and Conditions at any time. The date at the top of this page will reflect the most recent version. Continued use of Proximath™ after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the updated terms.
8. Governing law
These Terms and Conditions are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes arising from your use of the service shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
